2020-Present

Motorola Solutions

Chief Architect | Regulated Environments

I led a groundbreaking initiative to transform the FedRAMP authorization process. My strategy centered around the innovative integration of the Open Security Controls Assessment Language (OSCAL). This strategic move was pivotal in modernizing the FedRAMP Authority to Operate (ATO) process for Cloud Service Providers (CSPs). By introducing OSCAL, I significantly streamlined and enhanced the efficiency of the assessment procedures, not only benefiting CSPs but also revolutionizing operations on the Third Party Assessment Organization (3PAO) front. This initiative marked a significant step forward in simplifying and accelerating compliance processes, thereby setting a new standard in the realm of cloud security and regulatory compliance.

Lead GRC Engineer

In my capacity as Lead RMF/Security Engineer at Immersive Wisdom, a trailblazer in remote collaborative ops center technology, I played a crucial role in globalizing our platform's reach. I successfully led the initiative to authorize our containerized platform for operation in diverse classified computing environments worldwide. This was achieved through innovative compliance as code methodologies and advanced GRC (Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance) engineering. My approach not only adhered to stringent security standards but also adapted to the unique challenges of high-security, dispersed operational contexts. Implementing a comprehensive Risk Management Framework, I ensured the highest level of security and compliance, enabling teams across the globe to collaborate effectively in bandwidth-limited scenarios. My leadership in these efforts significantly contributed to the platform's capacity to offer a secure, efficient, and universally accessible operational environment.
